Update to Superintendent and Board prior to February 8, 2024 Board meeting

February 8, 2024

Dear Superintendent Huffman and Sausalito Marin City School District Trustees,

We would like to draw your attention to the collective voice of our community, represented by over 300 signatures from parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, and concerned citizens. These individuals express their support for the sentiments outlined in our letter dated February 4th.

Throughout the diligent monitoring of three Budget Advisory Committee meetings, our concerns have only deepened. Unfortunately, there appears to be a persistent focus on cost reductions that disproportionately impact roles directly involved with students.

The overwhelming response from our community underscores the gravity of these concerns, and we implore you to give serious consideration to the voices expressing them. It is crucial that the decisions made reflect the best interests of the students and the community at large.

Your attention and commitment to addressing these matters are highly appreciated.

Sincerely,
